View your school’s “Financial Transparency Report” to compare per-pupil spending with the state average. Then visit your district’s report to collect district spending average.

The Colorado K12 Financial Transparency website does not have an online option to directly compare all schools within a district. To gather school-by-school spending data, view financial transparency reports for each school in the district. (You can view the list of schools in your district from the district’s “Financial Transparency Report.”) The website also allows for the comparison of up to 4 schools or districts.

The Colorado K12 Financial Transparency website has a “Compare” feature that allows you to compare spending for up to four schools. Student enrollment and demographic information are available on the “Colorado Department of Education District and School Data Dashboard.”

I know which school(s) I want to compare.

View your school’s “Financial Transparency Report” and use the “Compare” feature to see spending details for up to three additional schools, or visit each comparison school’s report.

I do not know which schools I want to compare.

View school enrollment and demographic data on the “Colorado Department of Education District and School Data Dashboard” to identify comparison schools. Then, view each comparison school’s “Financial Transparency Report” or use the “Compare” feature to see spending details.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, limited outcomes data was collected for school year 2019-20. Visit each school’s report card to gather comparison details on spending, demographics, and any available outcomes data.

Edunomics Lab developed interactive data displays to explore resource equity, how dollars are allocated to schools, and which schools are most able to leverage their money to maximize student outcomes. Explore the analyses here.
