MISSISSIPPI
The Mississippi Department of Education published FY18 and FY19 school-by-school spending data on its Mississippi Succeeds Report Card. Per-pupil expenditures are broken down by school site and central as well as by source (local/state/federal) and can be compared to other schools in the district as well as to an overall district PPE average. School-level performance metrics disaggregated by student subgroup can be found on each school’s report card. Users can also download an Excel file of the raw data from the Mississippi Succeeds Report Card website. Explore Mississippi’s spending data below or jump over to the state report card HERE.

MORE ABOUT MISSISSIPPI
Mississippi publishes a Superintendent’s Annual Report that includes per-pupil expenditures. The per-pupil expenditures in this report comply with state law and are calculated in a different way than the per-pupil expenditures found on the Mississippi Succeeds Report Cards. This guide provides a useful comparison between the two. Mississippi also provides users the ability to search for a district or school report card on their data map, which can be useful when looking for geographic patterns or when unsure of a specific district to search for.
