OHIO

Ohio published FY18 and FY19 school-by-school spending data on the Ohio School Report Cards website. Expenditure data is broken down by “Classroom Instruction” and “Non-Classroom Spending” and provides comparisons to state and district averages. Further details are included in the department’s Advanced Reports page which allows you to create in-depth customizable school-level reports with classroom and non-classroom spending broken out in greater detail. MORE ABOUT OHIO

In compliance with state law, Ohio calculates and displays the per-pupil expenditure using an equivalent pupil count which weighs some subgroups more than others, rather than calculating the per-pupil expenditure based upon enrollment. As a result, the actual per-pupil cost at the school and district may be higher than what is displayed on the report card. If you have any questions about the data reported by Ohio or feedback on its report card system(s) please email contact.center@education.ohio.gov.

Ohio also has a grading system that allows you to see the financial grades each school receives within a district in a single table. This is available on the district report card option in the OH School Report Cards website. Additionally, there are several types of data that can be downloaded by district or school (individually or a customized list) available on the Advanced Reporting page.
