I know which school(s) I want to compare.

View each comparison school’s report card. Spending data is located in the “Finance” tab. Scroll down to view demographic data, which is located in the “Enrollment” tab.

I do not know which schools I want to compare.

Virginia does not yet provide demographic data for every school in the state in a downloadable file. However, you can find demographic data under each individual school report card in the “Enrollment” tab. Once demographically similar schools have been identified, collect spending data from each school’s report card or from the downloadable data file.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, limited outcomes data was collected for school year 2019-20. Visit each school’s report card to gather comparison details on spending, demographics, and any available outcomes data.

Edunomics Lab developed interactive data displays to explore resource equity, how dollars are allocated to schools, and which schools are most able to leverage their money to maximize student outcomes. Explore the analyses here.
