We now know that closing schools in response to the COVID-19 pandemic harmed students academically. So just how much learning time did they lose? And how much will it cost to get them back on track? In this webinar we share “The Calculator,” which our team built using data from the National Bureau of Economic Research and the American Enterprise Institute. This new tool estimates lost learning time in more than 8,000 school districts across the country and how much a district would need to invest to get students back on track. Some good news: most districts still have plenty of federal relief dollars left to spend.
