Existing Federal Provisions Can – If Given Appropriate Attention – Advance Within-District Financial Equity

There are four existing federal provisions with potential to foster within-district equity. Thus far, none of these has been fully implemented by every state, and one seems to have been ignored completely. As Marguerite Roza and Hannah Jarmolowski point out in this Comprehensive Center Network blog, each requirement works in different ways, but if made a priority, together these federal levers can drive awareness, engagement, and financial changes in school districts and advance equity across schools.
